Winter Weather

Friday when finally got our snow. It was probably about 4 inches. It was great. We don't get much snow around here so to see it snowing all day was cool. The kids loved it. We spent a long time outside Saturday but by the afternoon it was all starting to melt. But it was fun while it lasted. I "love" Arkansas weather. You really never know what to expect. Today it is right at 60 degrees and sunny. I'm hoping Easter Sunday is pretty and warm so we can spend it outside hunting eggs. We have a busy two weeks coming up. Tonight my dh has city council meeting and I'm going to lay in the tanning bed(to prepare for Florida). I have to go shopping this week to find birthday presents for my cousins baby and my little guy. They are both turning one. Cohen my cousins baby is on the 15 and Sam is on the 19. This Saturday we have the egg hunt at church and as soon as its over we will be driving straight to Jacksonville for Cohens party. Sunday I have to work in the church nursery. Then one night the next week we are going to have Sams party. And the next Saturday my lifegroup at church is going bowling and to one of the houses to eat.(we love that part!) Then its Easter Sunday. Maybe the week after that I can take time to breath but I wouldn't count on it. LoL

Snow Again?

Tonight we are suppose to get between 3 and 9 inches of snow. This is after we enjoyed seventy degree weather this last weekend. I was so ready for spring and now we're back to winter:( I can't wait until we go to Florida. We are going with a great couple from our lifegroup at church. I am so excited to go and relax on the beach and talk and just get away for a little while. I plan on taking lots of pictures to post.

We've been crazy around here. I have been unsuccsefully looking for a job. I'm starting to think it's not Gods plan for me to work right now. My ds has cut two new teeth and has started walking. My dd has started to calm down on the attitude and has been very helpful lately. We found out my dh grandma has cancer:( She will be starting chemo and possibly radiation. There is all kinds of drama in our extended family right now and I feel like I'm losing my mind. Hopefully hings will calm down soon.

Well, I haven't had time to write lately. First, my internet was messing up and then it has just been hectic. My three year old tries to push me to my limits every day and my baby boy is cutting more teeth. So, I have been having some stressful days. About two weeks ago we had some tornados in the area and just as the line of weather got close to our town both kids started vommitting. Luckily, it was only three or four times and they were able to settle down. Unluckily, I woke up at 3am and started vottimming. But on the up side I celebrated my birthday and me and the husband went out to eat all alone. It was a fun night and nice to get to spend time together. My youngest is pulling the screen down repeatedly so I am done for the day.

New Man in the Family

New Man in the Family Well it has been a busy weekend. First, we had our first and probably last snow of the winter. It lasted maybe 30 minutes and then melted. The kids were very disappointed. Especially my daughter, Vidalia. She really wanted to make snow balls. Well, maybe next winter. Then Friday afternoon my oldest sister gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. It was a very quick labor and delivery. The first contractions started at 11:50am and the baby was born at 1:29pm. He was 5lbs 12.2oz and 20in long. I have been surprised at Vidalias reaction. She totally wants to momma the new baby. With her brother she was less interested with him. I guess that shows how much she has changed as she has gotten older. My son, Samuel, is soo close to walking. I'm excited but also dreading it. It will make him more independent and harder to keep up with.lolLast night the family attended a super bowl party with our Lifegroup from church. My husband and I don't like football but really enjoyed the fellowship and the kids had a ball playing with the other kids there. The most fun was the jokes told after the game was over. Some disappointing news, it looks as if I will be needing to go back to work. The one income has stretched as far as it will go. The main issue is child care. I worked at a daycare before and was able to take the kids at half price. The solves the problem of me not wanting to leave the kids with people I don't know but it's not much income working at a daycare. Especially when they take out $180 every check. I'm not sure what I will do but I'm praying about it and hope I find an answer soon.

This is a new experience for me but I see all the other moms blogging and figured I could do it to. I hope this will be a way to get to know people and keep in touch with out of town family. Let me begin with a little about my kids. My daughter is 3 and very independent. She wants to do everything her self from getting dressed to fixing her own food. This makes me proud, sad and aggravated. I am glad that she is trying to do things on her own but it only reminds me how fast she is growing up. It is aggravating because I could get things done alot faster if she would let me. I guess I will just have to keep working on letting her do the things she can manage and get her to compromise on the things she can't. My youngest is a 10 month old boy. He was a bit of a surprise but we wouldn't know what to do with out him now. He has just gotten over cutting his top two front teeth. He his back to his happy self and sleeping again. So am I. LOL We are all patiently waiting for my oldest sister to give birth to her fourth child. This will be her third boy. She is due any day and has been to the hospital twice with false labor. She will probably be induced next week. We are also excited because my middle sister is also pregnant and is due in august. This will be her third but there is eight years difference in this one and her baby boy. My family keeps expecting me to call and say I'm also pregnant. I've had a couple of scares when I missed a period two different months. But my ob assured me that it was only due to breastfeeding. So I'm not worried. (for now) I could have a couple more but my DH says no. Well, you never know what the future holds.LOL
